The SteelPartner application relies on a subscriber/sponsor relationship.

A sponsor is a producer or owner of material that has contracted with a SteelPartner subscriber to perform a value added service to the material.

The sponsor will initiate the material tracking process by sending an EDI advance shipping notice to the SteelPartner steel supply chain software subscriber. Every subscriber must have a sponsor to begin to receive these transactions.
