SteelPartner Northrop Grumman Information Technology - Trusted IT Solutions

The Benefits of Having SteelPartner.com

Getting Started

SteelPartner.com is a "single point solution" for Outside Processors and Warehouses. The only requirement is a reliable internet connection using Internet Explorer web browser.
  • Because it's a web-based solution, there isn't any software to install, or manuals to read.
  • No servers to buy and maintain.
  • No security or backup procedures to worry about.
  • There is no need to buy an EDI translator. No modems to connect. There are no connections to Value Added Networks (VAN's) and no VAN charges either.
  • Northrop Grumman handles all the technical issues.
Training is done over the phone. Typically new users are 'ready to work' in less than 2 hours. Direct phone support is available during business hours. We monitor and support the system on a 7 x 24 basis.

Northrop Grumman works directly with the various steel producers to coordinate the startup.

For processors converting from old Compord System, Northrop Grumman converts the data to ensure a smooth startup.

Features

SteelPartner has a Graphical User Interface (GUI). Users can size the screens to satisfy their personal preferences. There are drop down or pop up boxes for all the codes so users don't have to remember them. There are numerous data edits to maintain data integrity. Confirmation boxes pop up to prevent "accidental clicks" from getting processed.

SteelPartner supports multiple users, and custom roles. Users can change their passwords on-line.

There is a language option that displays captions and buttons in English or Spanish.

There are numerous standard reports. Users can also download their data in MS Access format and write custom reports.

Because it's web-based, new versions of SteelPartner are made available to all users at the same time. Users don't have to download hot fixes, or run update programs to stay current. Northup Grumman maintains an e-mail list of active users and communicates when updates are being made.
